The Festival Ministry exists for the purpose of planned fundraising events that are scheduled at selected times of the year. All fundraising events are planned with the approval of the Financial Committee. These events are open to the public. There are many exhibits during the festival, some of which are: food — hamburgers, hotdogs, barbecue, sides, drinks ($), bake sale ($), yard sale items ($), craft items ($), adults and children’s games and other selected offerings. A limited number of outside vendors may be solicited through the free advertising of our Publicity Ministry. All vendors must sign the Vendors Agreement and submit the form along with rent deposit by the deadline date either through USPS or they may drop off their application and rent during office hours. The Festival Coordinator will seek volunteers to help price and tag yard sale items, assign person(s) to cover the various exhibits, solicit volunteers to cook food, solicit only home-baked items for the bake sale from church members, seek persons to cover the opening set-up and persons to cover the closing tear down and persons to clean up. The Festival Coordinator will also write up and submit to the Publicity Coordinator the advertisement to place into our free local media outlets. It is suggested that ads be run in these media outlets for three weeks in advance, if allowed — two weeks minimum.
