Each Daughter has made a lifetime commitment to prayer, service and evangelism. First and foremost is a Daughter’s commitment to her rule of prayer. A Daughter prays daily for 1) the spread of Christ’s Kingdom, especially among young women and girls; 2) God’s blessings upon members of the order; and 3) the spiritual growth of the parish. The emblem of the order is a Greek cross of silver which is worn at all times. The Latin words “Magnanimiter Crucem Sustine” on the cross mean: “with lofty heart, mind and spirit uphold the cross”. The letters “FHS” inscribed at the base of the cross are to remind each woman that all they do as Daughters is to be done “For His Sake”. Daughters accept prayer requests for specific needs or concerns and all requests are kept confidential within the order.
If you would like more information about the Daughters at the Well or to make a prayer request call the church office or Trish Taylor. The daughters at the Well Chapter meets on the second and fourth Sunday immediately after the church service.
