The main purpose of this ministry is to provide needed blood to many areas. Some blood is sent to other states. The blood drive brings donors together in one place to share the time of donation. While on the donating bed, or in canteen after, donors share stories of donating.
For the blood drive to be successful it requires many people helping. Volunteers welcome donors at the door bringing them into the donor area. Being greeted by these volunteers is the first thing donors experience and thus are vital to the success of the drive. Their friendliness encourages the return of donors to the next drive. Volunteers help ready the room for the Red Cross, donate and distribute the snacks, and clean everything up afterwards.
All in all, the blood drive is a ministry of saving lives. Jesus did that for us. Now we do this work at the blood drive.
Next Blood Drive – Tuesday, September 30th – Noon to 5:00pm
