Welcome

Information on Covid-19 Protocol:

As we continue to be aware of the spike in Covid cases in Horry County, we are taking precautions to make sure that our church, parishioners and visitors remain safe and healthy.  That said, while we have opened the church for Sunday morning services to everyone, we are requiring that masks be worn in the church at ALL times and social distancing between family units be observed.  You will notice that every other row of seats in the nave of the church have been removed.  If we are to experience an overflow of people on a Sunday morning, we have overflow seating in the fellowship hall where the service will be live-streamed.   We continue to live-stream the Sunday service and Thursday night Bible study on our Facebook page.
The Hangout (young adults) meeting continues on Saturday night, with all safety protocols in place.
The Sunday night Bereavement Group continues to meet in-person, with all safety protocols in place.
The Youth Group is currently meeting online by Zoom.
All other in-person meetings are suspended for the time being.
If you are a visitor to our church, we welcome you for Sunday morning service.  Please observe all safety measures while in the church.
We will keep you posted as things change and we hopefully see the instances of transmission of Covid-19 begin to decrease.
In the meantime, please take care of yourselves and each other by wearing your masks, observing social distance and observing proper hygiene practices.
God bless you all.  And remember, in all things, continue to rejoice, for our future is secure in The Lord!

SUNDAY SERVICE AT 10:30 A.M.
Thank you for stopping by our web page!

Welcome to The Well By The Sea, a contemporary church in the Anglican tradition.  Often when people see this description of our church the  first question they ask is, “What is the Anglican tradition?”  The Anglican Church in the world is basically the Church of England.   This tradition has a long history dating back to the 1500’s when the Church in England split from the Roman Catholic Church in what is known as the “English Reformation.”  Our doctrine is deeply rooted in scripture and our belief is that the Bible is the written Word of God and is to be believed and used to guide one’s life.   We believe that there is one way alone to eternal life and that is Jesus Christ, the only Son of God who died in our place to free us from the  bondage of sin.  We receive that salvation by repenting of our fallen nature, consciously accepting Jesus as Savior and Lord, and then committing ourselves to allowing the Holy Spirit to transform us as we live out the rest of our life.  We believe in utilizing the gifts of the Spirit, which are given to the people of God for the purpose of glorifying God and edifying His Church.  And, we believe in the fellowship of brothers and sisters in the Body of Christ.  We sustain one another, laugh and pray with one another, weep with one another and look out for each others well-being.

Our church is lively with many lay-ministries, a vibrant youth and children’s program and a dynamic music team.  Our worship is contemporary in that we worship with Praise and Worship music, contemporary Christian music and traditional hymns that have sometimes been set to more contemporary music…..sometimes not.   We utilize the liturgy, which dates back to the early Christian Church.  In fact, the liturgy we use can be traced back as far as at least 215 A.D.  So in our worship services, you will find a blend of the old and the new, with lively participation from the congregation.

The Well is only eight years old, yet in a short amount of time, God has blessed us richly and regularly.  We welcome visitors and anyone seeking a church home.  Whether you are from out of town or a local who is just curious, we welcome you.  You will find an amazingly friendly and open, laid-back atmosphere with folks who are like you, and who are on the journey of life together.

We meet at 10:30 on Sunday mornings and provide a nursery for babies and a church program for young children.  We would love to see you.  Come, expecting to be welcomed and loved as soon as you come in the door!  We will be looking for you!
